Born and raised on the south shore of Long Island, Chris Toffolo has experienced a public school education for most of his life. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication from Hofstra University. Working in the communication field ultimately lead him back to Hofstra University and the education profession. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education, he worked as an English teacher at Newtown High School and Cambria Heights Academy. After four years of teaching English, Chris Toffolo began training and transitioning into the subject of Computer Science. At Cambria Heights Academy, he helped implement a Software Engineering program that’s still running today.

After experiencing six years as a teacher, he decided to obtain a second Master’s Degree in the field of Information Science and Library Services from Syracuse University. It is in the profession of school librarian where the English and computer science fields merge. He joins Origins High School as the school’s first librarian. Along with a strong passion for reading, writing, and technology, Mr. Toffolo loves to bike, snowboard, and surf the sweet waves on the south shore of Long Island.
